As Christians we’re called to serve

“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people” Ephesians 6:7 NIV

Serving in the church allows us to sew into the lives of others.
Whether that means greeting newcomers at the door, serving coffee or singing in the worship team, every genuine act of service helps to build God’s kingdom.

To find out ways you can serve at Gatton Baptist Church please pray about where God might be leading you and speak to the deacons at church on Sunday.

Some of the ongoing Opportunities to minister at GBC:

• Sunday Morning Greeters - welcoming people into church on Sunday mornings for one month a year.

• Church Cleaning - regularly cleaning the most important areas of the church for members’ and tenants’ comfort and to be a witness to our community when it’s your turn on the roster.

• Conversational English class assistance - help by having conversations with people face to face in our relaxed and friendly group.

• Morning Tea - Setting up morning tea, monitoring and cleaning up at the end when it’s your turn on the roster.

• Childrens’ Ministries - Mature members wanted to implement childrens’ Sunday School type lessons for the children who attend the Sunday Service. To be developed as God leads.

• Home Groups - Leaders are needed to encourage our members to dive into God’s Word while being encouraged by friendship through meeting together in a home or church based group.

• Worship - Do you play an instrument, sing or like to be behind the scenes in the sound booth? There’s room for you here!
